Come on an Afternoon Retreat
Matt has recently come across the beautiful surroundings of Gooderstone Water Gardens (near Oxburgh Hall) which are an hour away from Wisbech on the other side of Downham Market.
Whilst there, he sensed the Holy Spirit saying that this would make a great place for a retreat. So he is organising one!
The surroundings are beautiful with lots of space to spread out, and even if there are other people there, you can still manage to find a quiet spot to sit in. There are plenty of benches to sit on as well as a few covered garden houses. There are toilets and a cafe that is currently running a take-away service on days that the weather is fine. Another big advantage is that it is outdoors, which is ideal in the current Covid-19 climate.
If you are thinking about coming, it is advisable that you bring:
Umbrella (just in case)
Sun hat & sun cream
Something to drink
Money (for entry fee and cafe)
The entry fee to the gardens is £7 per adult or £6.50 for Senior Citizens.
The retreat will be on the 19th September, 2-4pm.
You might want to arrive early to eat your lunch? Picnics are allowed.
We we be complying with the new legislation about no more than 6 people meeting outside.
The church is NOT organising transport for this event due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Please can you make your own transportation arrangements.
If you want to come, please register your place as numbers will determine planning. Participants will also receive a Covid-19 Risk Assessment and Procedure before the day, which must be adhered to.
Please email Matt by clicking here to book a space.
