Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

church welcome photoOur Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am. At the moment we are doing things rather differently to keep everyone safe and accommodate Covid-19 rules and regulations.

Find out more about our Sunday Gatherings here.

We also meet online at our 'Church Online' service where the service is live streamed on YouTube. Please click here for more information about Church Online.

We also have Messy Church once a month on Saturday afternoon from 3:30pm. This is an all-age event and meets at the same venue as our Sunday services.

We meet at:
The Queen Mary Centre, Wisbech, PE13 2PE
You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

10:30am 'Socially Distanced Church'.

You need to book in advance (by the Wednesday evening before the Sunday you want to attend) in order for your family group/bubble to be allocated a space. This is to help with social distancing.

Once you have booked, you will receive a confirmation email with all the other details you need to know about how the in person service will work.

'Socially Distanced Church' includes Bible teaching, some interactive elements, background music at times (but no band or singing) and prayer (due to the Covid-19 restrictions).

This is an all-age event that is divided into three distinct parts:

  • Exploration - a time to explore the Bible theme through crafts and games together.
  • Celebration - sing songs, pray, listen to a Bible story and have fun.
  • Eating - we finish by sharing a meal together. (Currently we are not eating together due to Covid-19 restrictions).

What happens to the kids at church?

On Sundays children can come along to Socially Distanced Church, however they do need to understand the importance of staying with their family group/bubble within their designated seating area. Please bring your own toys / colouring in  / crayons etc from home to help keep them occupied. We do hope that they will be able to engage with elements of the service, especially some of the more interactive parts.

There is also another opportunity to worship together as a family at our monthly Messy Church that happens on a Saturday afternoon. Please click here to find out more.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Yes. The toliet facilities in the Queen Mary Centre have been fully refurbished and include baby changing facilities in both the Ladies and the Gents.

Are you disability friendly?

spoon craftYes. The community centre has automatic main doors as well as being flat throughout (no steps) for easy wheelchair access. There are also disabled toilet facilities.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

But - Face coverings must be worn throughout the service - this is in compliance with current Covid-19 government rules. Children under 11 years old are exempt. Other exemptions must be noted when pre-booking as extra care will need to be taken with your seating arrangements).

Where do I sit?

Each week those who have pre-booked will be given a specific seating area to sit in. Its position within the room will probably change from week to week.

Where can I park?

Mike PreachingThere is a large car park right next door to the Queen Mary Centre called Somers Road Car Park. This is a free car park. There are also disabled parking spaces to the side of the Queen Mary Centre building.

Do you take an offering?

Once a month during our Sunday Celebration we make a point of having an offering during the service as part of our expression of worship. On other Sundays you can give by simply placing your offering in the envelope provided at your seating area - leave it on your seat when you leave and someone will collect it and place it in a Covid-19 Quarantine Zone for 72 hours before counting and banking it.

You can also give at any time online using our safe and secure website. Click here to give.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.
