New to Church?
Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.
Key information about the church...
Where & when does the church meet?
Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:00am.
Find out more about our Sunday Gatherings here.
We also meet online on Friday Evenings where we dig deeper into the Bible together with a conversational style programme that you are encouraged to interact with as live comments are responded to whilst on air. This is Live streamed on YouTube. Please click here for more information about Church Online.
We also have Messy Church once a month on Saturday afternoon from 3:30pm. This is an all-age event and meets at the same venue as our Sunday services.
We meet at:
The Queen Mary Centre, Wisbech, PE13 2PE
You can see a map on our contact us page.
What should I expect when I visit the church?
You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.
10:00am 'Sunday Celebration'
We currently have a coloured lanyard system in place to help you to indicate to others how comfortable you are currently feeling about social interaction, baring in mind that Covid-19 is still around.
A red lanyard indicates you are still social distancing and do not want any physical contact.
A yellow lanyard indicates you are still being cautious, you are happy to chat but still no touching please.
No lanyard at all indicated you are happy with chats, handshakes, hi-fives etc.
Hand sanitiser is still available and you are more than welcome to wear a mask if you would like to do so.
TRACK & TRACE is still in place as you will need to give your name and contact number on the track and trace register upon entry to the building. The NHS code for the Track and Trace app is still working and we would encourage everyone to scan it.
3:30pm 'Messy Church'
This is an all-age event that is divided into three distinct parts:
Exploration - a time to explore the Bible theme through crafts and games together.
Celebration - sing songs, pray, listen to a Bible story and have fun.
Eating - we finish by sharing a meal together. (Currently we are not eating together due to Covid-19 restrictions).
What happens to the kids at church?
On Sundays provision is made for children at King's Kids. Children stay with adults for the first part of the Celebration and are encouraged to join in with the songs and interactive parts. Just before the Bible teaching, the children (4-11 years) will be invited to go to an adjoining room for 'Kings Kids' that is run by a dedicated and fully DBS checked team of volunteers where they will receive Bible teaching relevant to their age, do some fun games and crafts and sing some songs. They return to their parents and to the Main Hall shortly after the Bible teaching during the Ministry and Refreshments time.
If you would like to accompany your child to Kings Kids for the first few times, that is fine. Also, if you do not wish your child to go to King's Kids and to stay with you in the Main Hall, that is also fine.
There is also another opportunity to worship together as a family at our monthly Messy Church that happens on a Saturday afternoon. Please click here to find out more.
